Moodologist

Chicago, United States

You don't just sell tea. You read the room.

A Moodologist is Moody Teas' frontline tea specialist — part guide, part storyteller, part barista. You meet customers where they are (stressed, tired, curious, celebratory) and help them find the exact blend they didn't know they needed.

This isn't a script-and-sell role. It's a conversation. You'll work farmers markets, pop-ups, and events across Chicago, bringing the Moody Teas experience to life one cup at a time.

What You'll Do

  • Guide customers through our mood-driven tea lineup — explaining flavor profiles, ingredients, and the intention behind each blend
  • Brew and serve samples with care and consistency
  • Turn curious browsers into loyal steepers through real, unhurried conversation
  • Represent Moody Teas with warmth, energy, and authenticity at every event
  • Support booth setup, breakdown, and inventory at market events
  • Communicate clearly with the team before, during, and after every shift

What You Bring

  • A natural ability to connect with strangers and make them feel seen
  • Genuine curiosity about tea, wellness, or food culture
  • Comfort on your feet in fast-paced outdoor environments
  • Proactive, honest communication — you speak up and follow through
  • Experience in customer-facing roles (café, retail, hospitality) is a plus, not a requirement

Why Moody Teas

We're a small, fast-growing Chicago tea company that blends intentionally and builds community seriously. You won't be a number here. You'll know the product inside and out, have real conversations with real people, and be part of something that's just getting started.
